What: Did You Really Think It Was Going to Be That Easy?

Wood Texture, Chess, White, Board, Game*

So, you set out to accomplish something and, surprising to you, you missed the mark and did not accomplish your goal. Instead of wallowing in defeat, configure a game plan. Strategize your next attempt. Surely, you were not going to give up!

Plan anything that is significant. The way to know what is significant to you is to imagine something going wrong with the plan. If it will bother you, that particular plan is meaningful. Do what you can to prevent things from going awry. You do not have control over everything but you can control the things that can be planned and considered. When making plans, leave room for error or, at least, leave room for a possible change in plans. There are things over which you have no control. For example, anytime someone else is involved, anything can happen. You can only control yourself. This is where patience and persistence are key. Working with others can be unpredictable. When it is necessary to form alliances, do so thoughtfully. This way, all parties involved can accomplish intended goals and are more likely to have a positive experience during the process.

The best thing you could do for yourself is strategize. Take the time to consider potential pitfalls that could hinder you from accomplishing your goal or retard the process. Allow unexpected occurrences to make you press harder to accomplish your goal. If things do not go your way in any situation, continue to focus on the goal and remember that mishaps are part of the journey. The key to overcoming is having a good attitude no matter what happens.

  1. Great point considering the potential bumps and overcoming them! Strategizing is setting yourself up for success, and obstacles are part of the journey.
